Sparrows symbolize accomplishment, true love and freedom. For sailors it meant a completed journey. However, former sailors has sparrow tattoos done on them o show the independence they had just found. In many instances lovers go for sparrow tattoos as a way of sowing how much they love each other. Some people get this tattoo to show that they are looking for a person to love. Most people do no look at this bird as a symbol for love but others do because their mating lasts for a lifetime.
Therefore, people use sparrows to show pairing. When in the same pose they represent a present union. In the instance that they are looking in the opposite directions it means that the person is letting go and looking forward to another relationship.
